Best of luck and let me know how you get on.Electri6ity contains eight of the most famous and distinguished guitar tones from the history of the instrument: the Strat, Tele, P90, Les Paul, Rickenbacker, Danelectro Lipstick, ES335, and L4. The acoustic guitar in the background is Vir2 Acou6tics - another complete bugger, but worth the aggro - the sounds are A1! Everything else is NI Komplete 9 Ultimate stuff. Jazz guitar is a complex beast to get right - there is no room to hide! I have a link here to demonstrate the sound to hopefully give you a bit of enthusiasm. Finally, if you have a good VST plug in (Amplitube / GR5), get a good tweed amp and stomp compressor goingand spring verb (I haven't experimented with the Amped versions of Electri6ity, but most reviews are favourable). For chords, similar workflow this time assign a controller to the strum speed, chords down, then record strum time adjustments, AMT (mod wheel) and other bits. The trick with Electri6ity is to record in a sound-on-sound process: for lead work, get your performance down first, then assign a controller to the fret position cc, play back and use the controller to get right up the neck. I would use the L4 guitar with the neck pickup selected and pick position close to the neck to get the hollow sound. Perhaps I should just loearn to play the guitar better, eh?!!!ĬDK - sorry for really late response.

However, I suppose it is like adapting to any alternative control logic - you just learn to steer in a different way - oh, and you need a 109-note keyboard too (I use a 61 note, a 49 note and a NI Maschine combined)! I hope Vir2 tweak the products further articulated feedback, deselecting strings so that they play open in conjunction with three-note chords, out-of-phase pickup selection on the strat, possible different chord structures for different tunings (DADGAD etc). these are my only guitar VSTi's, so I have cannot make comparisons to other products. Perhaps someone can help me with this? (Please :) )ĬDK KeyloidX2 I use both Vir2 Electri6ity and Acou6tics - Yes these are very complex instruments and not immediately user-friendly, but if you are prepared to spend the time tinkering with the keyswitches and controllers, they certainly provide accurate emulations of the real thing and my results have so far been most satisfying.

All I need to do is create a nice jazz guitar sound that plays like any guitar patch would on a keyboard but it's so difficult to achieve that simple task that I'm almost about to look elsewhere. I really want to love Electri6ity but I'm finding it so hard to learn to use. Perhaps I should just loearn to play the guitar better, eh?!!! Vir2 did send me an email with details on how to modify the velocity curve. My old EMU Proteus PK6 does a much better job than the M-Audio. Don't purchase the 88 key Alesis as it's the same piece with a different logo. I've got an Alesis Vortex which gives me awesome control. As far as your velocity issues, In my case it was my "piece of junk" M-Audio 88es. It was advertised as a VST usable in Sonar. I cannot even load the Kontact player without totally crashing X3.

That's a shame because I like Acoustic Legends.

I am in Poly Mode.I find this product quite unusable and the support very bad. I often cannot get the product to play two notes at the same time, even though they can easily be played at the same time on an actual guitar. The scripting is trying to be too smart about choosing which strings to play. Some notes are extremely quiet while others are loud. I love the sound but can't get the product to do anything usable. Here are the Electri6ity issues I am trying to resolve: It took me a long time to complete the form, and then, when I tried to Submit it, I got a message that I can only send the form once. Hard to fill out a form and register an issue when the fields all appear blank. The Contact Form is set up so you cannot see what you are typing. Vir2 is not responding to support tickets.
